Welcome to St Albans MG Owner’s Club’s, affectionately know as SAMGOC, web page.  We are the ones who wear the yellow regalia with the Saint driving a Midget motif.  No doubt you will have seen us at MG and other classic car events.

The hard core of our membership take enjoying all things MG very seriously.  Our cars are in the main MGBs in Roadster and GT format but include MGCs, MGFs and Midgets, etc.  Conditions vary from basket cases to national event award winners.  So there is no need to feel shy if yours is a little ragged around the edges.  You will be made very welcome whatever you drive.  Just drop in on a club night or join us during an event.  You will find these listed in our Events Diary.

1.  Club Rules :-
Well, there aren’t any, except enjoy.

2.  Hierarchy :-
There isn’t any.  At present Cindy Carlton and myself, Alan Cumming, act asco-coordinators, and Terry Jacks is our treasurer.  Decisions and arrangements are usually made by a consensus of opinion during club nights.  Simply, if you have an idea then we’ll help you promote it.

3.  Subscriptions :-
With funds in the bank we decided at the last AGM to suspend collection of subs.

4.  Meetings :-
We meet once a month The Plough on the fourth Wednesdays each month.  Meetings commence at around 8:30 pm but don’t be surprised if it is nearer 8:45 - 9:00 before we start arriving in force.  The The Plough can be found in Tyttenhanger Green, St Albans, a short drive off the 414.  Follow the links on our ‘Meetings’ page for precise directions.

5.  Club Regalia :-
Our club colours are yellow and blue.  Cindy has the facilities to produce the SAMGOC motif.  Consequently she will be able to reproduce the logo on anything that will go through a domestic sewing machine.  If you can provide a plain yellow polo shirt, Tee shirt, sweat shirt, etc. I am sure if you speak to her nicely she will do the necessary.  We are presently taking orders for sweat shirts to have them printed commercially, so let Cindy or myself know if you are interested.

6.  Web Site :-
I am its current master and will endeavour to up date it on a regular basis.

7.  Club Runs, etc :-
We attend a variety of events throughout the year.  For details please refer to our Events Diary.

8.  Area Review In Enjoying MG :-
Members have the opportunity to have announcements made or to pass on interesting MG news to the rest the world through our slot in Area Review in Enjoying MG magazine.  A copy of our contribution to the magazine will be posted on our web page each month for all you non-members of the MG Owners Club who don’t receive the magazine.

9.  Contact :-
We maintain a contact list for all our members.  This is made available during our monthly meetings.
